Sony Xperia Ion Lands In The US With AT&T

Sony’s latest Android smartphone, the Sony Xperia Ion is now available in the US, with mobile carrier AT&T and the device is available for $99.99 when you sign up to a new to year contract with AT&T, Sony and Best Buy are also selling the device for $50, this is also with a new two year contract.

The Sony Xperia Ion features a 4.6 inch HD reality display that has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, the device comes with Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread, and will get updated to Android 4.0 ICS in the near future.

Other specifications on the Xperia Ion include a dual core 1.5GHz processor and it features 16GB of built in storage, there is also a 12 megapixel rear camera which can record full HD video in 1080p, and the camera uses Sony’s latest Exmor R sensor.

The Sony Xperia Ion also comes with LTE, NFC, HD sharing with DLNA, HDMI and Sony’s Bravia Sync plus Sony’s new NFC based Smart Tags that we saw previously.
