The HTC One S is a beautiful phone, there’s no question about it. It is solidly built and slim. However under the surface it has a strange software glitch that has persisted for a while and for some users. It just goes randomly between the home screen and helicopter view of all homescreens. If you try to interfere, the three capacitive buttons on the phone just stop working.
Apparently, locking and unlocking the phone solves it, but only temporarily. You can check out the video to see what happens. HTC is repair the phones if you want, but there’s no universal solution right now. HTC has no official explanation, but in all likelihood, here is what is going on: When the phone is in an area with a weak signal it has to boost power output and this allegedly causes resonance between the GSM frequency and the frequency of the capacitive buttons on the device.
If this is indeed the problem, a software update could easily fix this.
